This skylight in 60 minutes fire rating with classification EI was done in collaboration with architect Kjaer & Lassen A/S.

The construction aside from its normal rectangular shape, was a bit complicated having 2 pcs of triangular shaped elements along with 1 pc of arched element segmented in 3 parts. But despite its complexity, the result was tremendous as shown in the picture.

With a total dimension of W=24000 X L=1700 mm, glasses were also provided with ultra securit feature for added security. This construction was done in system AW50.

As part of the existing order of 15 pcs double door with top panels which has already been delivered and installed, Dong Energy in Copenhagen, Denmark ordered additional fire resistant roofs in pyramidical form.

These constructions are done using Aluflam AW50 system in classification EW60. Film strips are also applied on the glasses to add aesthetic effects. These constructions are used for internal application.

Nor-Shipping 2011

Aluflam wishes to thank you for attending the Nor-Shipping exhibit in Oslo, Norway on 24-27 May 2011.

This exhibit was done to attract marine customers seeking for fire resistant constructions in aluminium and glass. Aluflam's marine expert team met and answeres querries regarding fire resistant constructions for marine applications.

The presentation and exhibit units were found at Stand A01-05B.

This project has been worked out in cooperation with Miljolist for Aluflam’s Norway market.

The project is an EI classed 30 minutes fire resistance rating which is composed of double sliding construction with fixed panels on both sides. The electrical mechanism is driven by a motor from Geze.

This project is coordinated with Rana Bygg og Betongservice AS and located at Mo in Rana.


A 60 minutes fire resistance rating fixed partition with classification EI60 and 30 minutes fire resistance rating doors with classification EI30 are ordered and delivered to stroedamsvej in Copenhagen, Denmark.

These constructions are installed for internal use.


35 pcs of fire resistant constructions were delivered for Aluflam’s Russian market.

The project is an EI classed 60 minutes fire resistance rating composed of doors and partitions for the Sport and Wellness Complex which were installed by Aluflam's partner Bau Luks Ltd in Kalingrad district of Russia in the town of Gusev.

This project has a total area of 193,29 sqm.


For the marine sector, Aluflam got orders from JJ Siestas KG Schifftswerft GmbH. This order are single and double doors with classifications A0 and A60 for external application in a passenger ship.

Another order is from 2MB International based in France. 12 pcs of fixed panels with classification A60. These constructions are for external use.


World Future Energy Summit

Aluflam represented by its founder, Mr Peter Birck will be joining the World Future Energy Summit on 17-20 January 2011 at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi.

This is an initiative lead by CEO Khalid Al Midfa of Gulf International Trading Group and its sister company Gulf Group Limited. This cooperation will not be realized without the effort of CEO and his professional expert teams.

BP Bright Lights in Chicago, IL was one of the most prestigious and very important projects delivered by Aluflam-USA.

The curtain wall for 60 minutes fire resistance rating was done using Aluflam’ s AW50 fire resistant construction system.

This project was realized in collaboration with Gensler architects and Trainor Glass installer.

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange building with an area of approximately 200,000 sq.ft. of demolition and the construction of office space to meet BP’s specific needs including a 30,000 sq.ft. trading floor, accommodating 510 traders, a full-service kitchen, as well as “grab and go” cafe’ is expected for completion in 3rd quarter 2010.

The trade floor features a multi-level mezzanine along with bridges and communicating stairs as well as fully redundant mechanical and electrical system.

The project team utilized an integrated project delivery (IPD) method for this multi-phased project, which spans five levels in three adjacent buildings, providing identical incentives to all primary stakeholders – owner, construction manager, architect/engineer, fostering a teamwork approach to address/resolve project challenges.

120 minutes glass wall

Aluflam-USA sold the latest addition to Aluflam pride, the newly UL approved 120 minutes fire rated glass wall. System AW60 was used for this glass wall delivered to Equinox in Washington DC.

This 120 minute fire resistant construction was a project coordinated with S3 Design architects along with the installer Advantage Glass Company.


The new Aluviking folding door is a stand-alone folding system with unique features when compared with other systems available in the market.

It gives the complete answer to the increasing demand from end-users and architects for window systems that enlarge spaces and provide an aesthetic “state of the art” solution. As a result, the principal advantages of the Aluviking folding door system are transparency, one of the largest dimensions on the market, flexibility, different configurations and sizes available as well as the highest demands regarding insulation.

Another project by Aluviking was delivered for Norway company Norwin AS. This project was constructed from Aliplast Imperial system windows and Aliplast Slide Plus system sliding window. Glazing used is SKN174 solar control glass.

A project which is almost finished, the "Kolping College" in Kaunas, LT. This project covers 350m2 of Imperial windows, doors; facades and skylights. Special self cleaning + solar control glass was used for skylights.
